Axiomtek AX5214H PLC Digital I/O Module - 48 bit DIO board Simple Type: PLC Digital I/O Module

The AX5214H is a 48 channels (bit) digital inputs and outputs board that plug into IBM PC/AT or compatible computer. The board can be used with TTL low-level input/output circuitry or with AX754, AX755, AX756, and AX1416/24 providing isolation for interfacing with high level input and output signals. The 48 channels are arranged into two separated groups, each group consists of 24 channels DIO. Each group emulates a 8255 PPI chip mode 0 in software. The 24 channels DIO is further divided into three ports with 8 bits per port. This 8-bit port can be configured to function as input or output. There is an unique feature associated with AX5214H: an interrupt on change of state. This feature frees up the PC to do other activities since there is no need to poll the digital input port for an event to occur.
